Course Description
Co-taught Reading Strategies is a course designed to assist in the development and improvement of students’ reading skills. This course utilizes the READ 180 Universal Program. The program incorporates the latest research and principles of how the brain learns to read. READ 180 Universal is a comprehensive reading intervention that addresses the needs of struggling readers and provides instruction, support, and practice in the areas that are most needed for each individual student. Additional strategies and activities will also be incorporated throughout each semester to enhance student reading performance. Additionally, this course is co-taught by a reading specialist and a special education teacher.
